Job Opportunity: Software Developer
We are currently seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our established Client Digital Solutions team. The team is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions across our UK, Netherlands, and international clients.
As an experienced Software Developer, you will be a key member of a team developing market-leading cloud-based digital solutions.
About You:
You are an experienced Software Developer working within a dedicated software development team, guided by senior members through all phases of the software development lifecycle. You possess a strong willingness to learn, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication and teamwork abilities. You are adaptable, detail-oriented, and manage your time effectively.
Your Responsibilities:
* Develop, deploy, test, and support cloud applications.
* Contribute to the development of new external software solutions.
* Utilize Microsoft Azure for developing and deploying solutions aligned with architecture standards.
* Create backlog items, estimate sizes, and translate them into efficient code meeting acceptance criteria.
* Test and deploy cloud applications using CI/CD pipelines and quality checks.
* Ensure security and non-functional requirements are integrated into development.
* Support and maintain existing solutions, troubleshooting as needed.
* Create technical and end-user documentation.
* Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure high-quality outputs.
* Follow established development processes and standards.
* Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and communicate issues promptly.
* Mentor junior team members when requested.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
* Experience in a commercial software development environment.
* Proficiency with front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
* Strong knowledge of C# & .Net.
* Experience with unit testing and source control (GIT).
* Database development experience (SQL Server, Cosmos DB, etc.).
* Client-facing experience at a technical level.
* Familiarity with Azure DevOps for project management (Backlog, Repo, CI/CD).
* Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Bicep).
* GIS awareness or experience.
