Location: Can be based in Dartford, St Albans, Derby (Hybrid working available)

About the Role
As Bid Manager, youll take full responsibility for theend-to-end bid process, managing submissions for construction and infrastructure projects, primarily within the social housing sector. Youll coordinate inputs from estimating, planning, commercial, and delivery teams, ensuring each bid is compliant, competitive, and aligned with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage bids from tender review through to submission and post-tender clarifications.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and integrate technical, commercial, and delivery information.
* Develop compelling, client-focused responses tailored to social housing tender requirements.
* Manage bid timelines, review content for quality and accuracy, and ensure compliance with internal governance.
* Maintain bid libraries, templates, and response tools.
* Support continuous improvement through lessons learned and feedback analysis.
What Were Looking For
* Minimum 5 years experiencein a Bid Manager role within aTier 1 main contractor.
* A solid track record writing successful bids forsocial housing contracts.
* Strong knowledge of UK construction tendering processes.
* Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate input from various teams.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe InDesign is a plus.
* Organised, detail-driven, and proactive.
