We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Scheduler to join our team. This position is well-suited to a an enthusiastic team player with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
This position is based in the Samples & Boards Department, as a Production Scheduler you will be responsible for scheduling the production of point-of-sale (POS) and sampling products, ensuring timely and efficient delivery across the supply chain, from manufacturing through to installation.
Responsibilities:
· Production Planning and Manufacture -Work from the POS Programme, coordinate with the Materials Controller, collaborate with the Marketing Department, schedule production of non- standard display boards, monitor production processes, assign production efficiently, communicate the production schedule, collaborate with the Materials Controller, keep production and delivery dates updated in Business Central.
· Production Data - Set up new products in Business Central (ERP), update and maintain the Merchandising Database, assist the Materials Controller, maintain document control, work with Boards and Samples Team leaders.
· Sample Materials Planning Schedule the in house cutting of flooring samples and associated products as requested, ensuring the available machine capacity.
· POS Information management - Raise orders for both internal production and subcontractors.
· Other Responsibilities - Act as the main point of contact for all manufacturing related queries, assist Production Manager during product launch meetings, assist Team Leaders.
· Other Duties- Act as the primary point of contact for all manufacturing-related queries, assist the Production Manager, Support Team Leaders for coverage for holidays and sickness.
· Additional Duties - Provide support for Team Leaders, assist in moving production staff, maintain an up-to- date contact sheet for suppliers, system IT contacts, and carriers.
Requirements:
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
* Calm, level-headed, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional telephone manner.
* Experience in manufacturing planning, logistics, or stock control is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Excel and Word for planning and reporting purposes.
* Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Navision/Business Central) is ideal.
* A confident, clear communicator with effective decision-making skills.
* A logical, detailed, and methodical approach is essential.
