Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them thrive in education? We are seeking a Youth Engagement and Diversion Officer to play a vital role in shaping the student experience. As the Youth Engagement and Diversion Officer, you will work closely with our 16-18-year-old students to ensure they feel safe, supported, and engaged throughout their time in education. You'll be a key figure in promoting positive behaviour, building trust, and helping students-especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds-stay on track and believe in their potential. Key Responsibilities Support the Head of Youth Engagement and Diversion in upholding behaviour expectations. Build strong, trusting relationships with students to encourage open dialogue. Inspire and motivate young people to remain engaged in education and develop resilience. Assist in managing and de-escalating student incidents. Liaise with external agencies including the police and local authorities. Provide advice, guidance, and support to students on a range of issues. Monitor and support vulnerable students at risk of disengagement. Contribute to safeguarding efforts in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
