Qualifications Academic and professional background Bachelor Degree in Economics, Business Administration or Engineering and other technical degrees are desirable. Solid technical knowledge about strategic investments. Solution Sales or Investment Solution Sales. 5-7 years of previous experience in QIS, Asset Management, Multi Asset. Previous knowledge Bloomberg, Google Drive, Microsoft, specifically Microsoft Excel. Have a deep knowledge about both equity and equity derivatives markets and the clients' risks appetites and investment needs. Languages English (native/bilingual). Spanish will be valued. Overview BBVA QIS is a relatively young business within Global Markets whose objective is the design and manufacture of rules-based investment strategies across all asset classes. We aim to offer investment solutions to both institutional clients and distributors. We are looking for a person with QIS experience and knowledge of a relevant client base, and enthusiasm to help grow the business, by leading the distribution to institutional clients in Europe and the United States. Collaborate with the Institutional Clients Equity Derivatives Sales Regional Manager in defining the business strategy, business plan and budget for the equity derivatives sales business with institutional clients in the region under his/ her responsibility. Originate proactively equity derivatives commercial opportunities and develop P&L. Provide specialized service to the clients about equity derivatives market (prices, flows, etc.), offering them tailor-made investment and hedging solutions. Have a deep knowledge about both equity and equity derivatives markets and the clients' risks appetites and investment needs. Interact permanently with clients by phone/ chat and in particular organise periodic visits together with different Global Markets units (such as Research, Structuring and trading) and Bankers. Focus on reinforcing BBVA relationship with existing clients and identifying new business opportunities. Execute secondary market orders received from the clients. Price clients' request in coordination with Trading and Structuring desks, and support Trading in finding potential buyers/ sellers for specific positions of the trading book. Leverage on the Research and Structuring capabilities to offer an added value service to customers. Take into account Research/ Structuring market/ product views and trade ideas to generate equity derivatives' ideas and proposals. Negotiate deals with clients, coordinating with the Trading and Structuring desks, as required. Monitor the settlement and post-trade processes, helping in solving key incidences and problems if needed Work together with the Structuring unit to develop and structure specific equity derivatives product solutions for institutional clients. Coordinate works on wrappers (SPV, MTN, Warrant) with the Global Securities unit for structured products distribution. Liaise alongside with Bankers and other Global Markets desks in order to mainstream and coordinate customers' knowledge. Take part in different risks committees to manage operations and/ or credit lines' approval. Assist the Structuring team in presenting the operation to the Risk unit. Coordinate with Legal unit the definition of the products' legal documentation and contracts, as well as the clients' on-boarding process. Assist in the communication with the client to get the required documentation. Organise with the support of the Marketing and Advertising unit different events and commercial actions with the clients (workshops, breakfasts, etc.). Coordinate the participation of other Global Market units as required. Stay abreast of the specific regulation that may affect the equity derivatives commercialization to the client segment under his/ her responsibility. Focus on advising clients about the new regulation and offering them suitable transactions. Monitor the equity derivatives commercial activity and profitability through in-house tools and data sources. Follow up the operations' pipeline and the budget compliance. Lean on the Sales Operational Management unit for the publication of the daily mark-tomarket prices of the traded products, as well as to coordinate different projects and requests (audits, IT tools implementations, etc.) Comply with both internal and external operational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenues targets that are set each year in the Institutional Clients Equity Derivatives Sales unit and the Global Equity Derivatives Sales overall budget. Focus on boosting revenues through the commercialization of equity derivatives to the institutional clients under his/ her responsibility.
