Overview
The Urology Department at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Trust provides a Urology Service across the three Trust sites. These include Scunthorpe General Hospital, Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby and Goole and District Hospital with a minimum of 10 PA allocation with an opportunity to include up to a further x2 additional PA's. The department at Scunthorpe and Grimsby provides a full range of Urological procedures and works closely with Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals where radical surgery is performed in line with the requirements of the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Clinical Network. The department is keen to further enhance these links with increased cross service provisions. Goole and District Hospital supports Outpatients and Day Cases together with endoscopic procedures including laser lithotripsy bipolar TRUP and vaporisation of prostate and in process of developing HOLEP which is currently provided at Scunthorpe site. All hospital sites provide dedicated flexible-cystoscopy sessions in the Urology Department. The Urology Service has invested in Urodynamics equipment and has undergone refurbishment with Olympus equipment across all sites and offers all services including ESWL, percutaneous and laparoscopic surgery. The department has recently invested in a new holmium lasers, 3D stacks and HOLEP equipment.
Responsibilities
* As a senior employee of the Trust you will work in close co-operation with, and support, other clinical, medical professional and managerial colleagues in providing high quality healthcare to the Trust's patients. Integral to the responsibilities of the post are the following requirements:-
* To ensure the provision of a first class clinical service
* To provide effective leadership to all staff engaged in the specialty
* To sustain and develop teaching and research wherever appropriate
* To undertake all work in accordance with the Trust's procedures and operating policies
* To conduct clinical practice in accordance with contractual requirements and within the parameters of the Trust's and Operational Group's services plans
* To maintain the confidence of business plans and development strategies formulated for the specialty, the Group or the Trust.

Salary and terms
£109,725 to £145,478 a year. Minimum of 10 PA's with a 5% oncall per annum pro rata
