We are seeking a Legal Support Assistant to provide legal and administrative support to Arcadis dispute resolution lawyers and other members of the Arcadis UK & Ireland in-house Legal, Compliance, and Privacy (LCP) team. This role will be based in the United Kingdom, preferably in the Bristol Office.
Reports to: Senior Litigation Business Partner.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Claims handling and dispute management support including:
2. Locating and securing documents;
3. Document management, including working with external document management platform providers;
4. Identifying and liaising with potential witnesses and discussing with witnesses;
5. Notifications to insurers;
6. Preparing document bundles for internal review and external solicitors;
7. Liaising with external solicitors, experts, and consultants;
8. Maintaining claims records;
9. Reporting to management, brokers, and insurers;
10. Preparing for dispute resolution processes such as mediation, adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.
General support for the LCP team and wider business includes:
1. Providing legal support for bid and project teams;
2. Analyzing and reporting on claims statistics;
3. Updating internal LCP guidance notes;
4. Preparing internal LCP training materials;
5. Conducting legal research and providing advice on draft and new legislation.
Qualifications & Experience:
* First degree or equivalent, preferably in law;
* Postgraduate legal qualification (e.g., Legal Practice Course) is preferred but not essential;
* Previous experience in litigation support or a similar paralegal role;
* This role may be suitable for candidates seeking Qualifying Work Experience to qualify as solicitors.
