Senior Maintenance Facilities Shift Technician, electrically biased – In House – Loughton. Day shift 07.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 21.00.

The Property department’s Infrastructure Engineering team maintains, enhances, and supports the occupied building environment and provides engineering services for all staff, managing capital investments, business continuity, health & safety, events, facilities services, and procurement to ensure value for money.
The Engineering team comprises 56 FTE and covers three core properties in London & Essex, including a Grade 1 listed Head Office in East London and a modern office building in Moorgate. The team maintains and operates installed engineering systems to provide reliable 24/7/365 operations across office, data centre, front/back office, and production environments.
The scope of services for the Shift Technician includes, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
* Support reactive maintenance tasks allocated via the IWMS system
* Update planned and reactive maintenance tasks within the IWMS
* Conduct daily and periodic building system and equipment checks to maintain 24/7/365 operation
* Attend to engineering faults and failures with priority response and minimal downtime
* Perform routine maintenance across HVAC, electrical, public health, fire, and other building systems
* Deliver a proactive approach to maintenance, with ideas for improvement
* Carry out statutory testing across life safety systems and critical assets as directed
* Take measurements and surveys as directed
* Support statutory testing of Life Safety systems across the portfolio
* Support specialist OEM contractors for system and asset maintenance, reactive tasks, and emergencies
* Provide data to assist the Shift Leader with daily hand-over logs and reports
* Participate as an Authorised Person (LV) – Electrical and/or Mechanical to support 24/7 operations within SSoW
* Complete allocated annual training and performance objectives
* Act as a Health & Safety ambassador across properties
* Ensure work is completed in accordance with agreed methods, risk assessments, SLAs, and customer service standards
* Promote teamwork and continuous improvement
* Participate in the weekly On-Call technical support rota across all sites
Requirements
* Minimum City & Guilds Level 3 (or transferable) in a relevant engineering subject
* IOSH Operating Safely qualification
* Security Vetting to SC Clearance (will be provided by the company)
* Experience with IWMS planned and reactive maintenance tools using handheld HMI
* Experience operating and maintaining HVAC, BMS, Electrical, Public Health, and Life Safety Systems
* Demonstrable Authorised Person experience at HV or LV system operation
* Experience operating within a defined Safe Systems of Work (SSoW)
* Knowledge of statutory and compliance obligations relevant to engineering systems
* Ability to absorb and follow prescribed SOPs & EOPs
* Ability to read and understand complicated mechanical, electrical, control, and public health drawings
* Strong commitment to health and safety and upholding building standards
