Electrical Designer - Automation

About the Role
As an Electrical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed electrical and control system designs using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel. You will produce a full suite of documentation, support project delivery, and collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical system design for a variety of projects using EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel
Creation of project documentation including title pages, revision overviews, layouts, diagrams, parts lists, and reports
Production of BOMs, wire labels, cable labels, and device tag labels using Excel
Importing and exporting drawings to and from DXF/DWG formats
Ensuring all designs comply with relevant HSE, ISO, and industry standards
Providing technical support to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams
Conducting safety hardware validation using SISTEMA
Working collaboratively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
What You'll Need
HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
5+ years' experience as an Electrical Designer
Strong working knowledge of EPlan Electric and EPlan Pro Panel
Understanding of electrical and control components
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
