Raytheon UK is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join the Assured Position, Navigation and Timing (APNT) team within the Global Sensors Mission Area. The role involves creating Digital GPS Anti-Jam Systems for the military market and is based at Raytheon’s Harlow facility, with weekly hybrid working options. The successful candidate will report directly to the APNT Hardware/Firmware Engineering Lead.
Role Overview
The Electronics Engineer, from entry-level to a few years of experience, will work on a broad range of product designs and assist in integrating these designs into complete systems.
Main Duties
* Schematic generation, PCB design, component selection, evaluation, and verification
* Collaborate with system engineers on electronic subsystem architectures
* Develop requirements ensuring compliance with relevant standards
* Work alongside embedded software and mechanical engineers
* Generate design documentation and conduct technical reviews
* Experience with embedded digital electronics and microprocessor systems
* Knowledge of ADC/DAC, Memory technologies, FPGAs, and SoC technologies
* Experience transforming prototypes into production hardware
* Design PCBs in compliance with defence and airborne standards
* Design for manufacture
* Present technical information clearly and concisely
* Analytical and problem-solving skills
* Openness to learning new techniques
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment, working independently or in teams
* Analyze and report on technical data
* Current SC security clearance or eligibility
* Experience with Xilinx chips, Mentor Xpedition, SPICE, and DO254 compliance
* Knowledge of APNT systems or similar fields
Additional Requirements
Understanding of environmental requirements (shock, vibration, EMC) and experience testing for these conditions.
