Warehouse Operator
Contract Type: Temporary – Contract until the end of this year, with potential for extension and possible permanent employment
Pay: £13.49 per hour
Reporting to: Warehouse Team Lead
Closing Date: Ongoing
Working Hours
1. Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:15
2. Friday: 07:30 – 15:00
3. Breaks:2 × 15-minute paid breaks per shift1 × 30-minute unpaid break per shift
4. Flexibility required to support additional hours during the week and at weekends when needed.
Job Description
DHL is currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operator to support operations within the CMB Stores. This role is initially on a temporary basis until the end of the year. There is potential for extension and possible permanent employment, however this is not guaranteed.

Main Responsibilities
5. Work safely in full compliance with site Health & Safety requirements
6. Take responsibility for own safety and the safety of others
7. Adhere to Safety Systems and Site PSMS (Personnel Safety Management Systems)
8. Pick materials for issue to site
9. Store materials in racking and shelving locations
10. Load and unload materials using a forklift truck
11. Deliver materials to site via van or forklift
12. Man the warehouse service counter
13. Receive and receipt goods deliveries
14. Enter data into the Warehouse Management System (SAP) and spreadsheets
15. Dispatch materials as required
16. Participate in an on-call rota for site emergency material requests
17. Support additional hours when required to meet customer needs
18. Respond to ad hoc tasks and requests from management
Skills & Experience Required
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
19. Good numeracy, literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail
20. IT literacy (training provided where appropriate)
21. Forklift truck experience (training provided where appropriate)
22. Ability to prioritise workload and work independently and as part of a team
23. Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek guidance
