Our superb client, who is experiencing significant growth, based in Chatteris, is seeking an additional Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 5.00pm, with consideration given to a 30-hour week within these hours. Initially, the position will be office-based during training and induction, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid working model. Interviews are expected to begin in the next four to six weeks. The successful candidate will also need to travel to the Head Office in Cambridgeshire for a 4-6 week training & induction period if offered the role.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform bookkeeping duties for a range of clients
2. Prepare VAT returns
3. Conduct bank reconciliations
4. Process purchase ledger invoices
5. Generate sales ledger invoices
6. Handle queries via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions with clients
Requirements:
* Previous or current bookkeeping experience
* Experience with Sage & Xero is preferred
* Experience managing a portfolio of clients is desirable
