This is a chance to step into a key leadership role within a busy food manufacturing site. You'll be the go-to person for all things engineering on nights - running the shift, supporting your team, and making sure production keeps moving.
It's hands-on, fast-paced and full of variety - perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, leading by example, and driving standards forward.

What you'll be doing:
10. Leading the night engineering team - setting the pace and owning performance
11. Managing priorities and coordinating breakdown response
12. Ensuring planned maintenance is completed effectively
13. Supporting your team with technical guidance and coaching
14. Taking part in RCA, CI projects, and asset care improvements
15. Driving a strong safety-first culture across all engineering activity
16. Communicating clearly with day teams and other departments
17. Owning shift reports, CMMS updates, and stock control disciplines
What you'll need:
18. Time-served or formally qualified (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
19. Strong engineering background - mechanical and/or electrical
20. Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
21. Previous leadership experience - whether formal or informal
22. Calm, confident decision-making under pressure
23. Strong communicator who can get the best out of others
24. A proactive, solutions-focused approach to people, kit and process
25. Sound knowledge of compliance: PUWER, LOLER, and health & safety standards
