Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) – Manufacturing
Location: Berkshire
Contract: 3-month rolling contract
Shifts: Panama Shifts (12hr) – Days and Nights
Rate: Outside IR35 £35ph
Company: Second largest manufacturer in the UK, holding a third of the market, with a turnover in excess of £300 million and 17 sites across the UK.
Following the success of previous contracts, a new opportunity is available. The business is seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to support the internal team, minimize downtime, and maintain standards of various equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Reactive maintenance including fault finding and component replacement on various machines.
2. Preventative maintenance.
3. Swapping components on equipment such as conveyors, cranes, cookers, slicers, pallets, etc.
4. Electrical fault finding on PLCs and electrical components like sensors, relays, proximities, control panels, motors (single phase, three phase, AC, DC), and contactors.
Requirements:
* Previous electrical and mechanical experience in an industrial environment (Manufacturing, FMCG, Packaging).
* Electrical engineering qualification.
* Ability to fault find and repair a wide range of electrical components.
* Experience working with PLCs (Siemens S5 and S7).
Benefits:
* Established rolling 3-month contract.
* Panama Shifts including days and nights.
* Minimum of 40 hours per week.
* Outside IR35.
