The Role:
The role is responsible for delivering a broad range of high-quality Human Resources (HR) and Employee Relations (ER) services, with a strong focus on workforce advisory support, continuous improvement, and leadership guidance. This includes ensuring that HR policies, procedures, and leadership frameworks are current, accessible, and aligned with organisational and environmental needs.
The position oversees remuneration and classification reviews to ensure equity and compliance, leads system implementation and enhancement within the HRIS environment, and contributes to the development of accurate, improvement-focused HR reporting. A key emphasis of this role is fostering effective, people-centric HR practices that support organisational performance and best practice in workforce management.
Key Responsibility
* Support and coach people leaders in relation to performance development and management processes consistent with the City of Salisbury's values and safety-first culture.
* Providing advice on employee relations, grievance handling/dispute resolution, disciplinary and performance management issues.
* Working with people leaders to develop solutions to people management, providing the tools and guidance to build their capability to effectively manage workforce management issues.
* Partnering with the People and Performance Reporting and Support Coordinator ensuring high quality and beneficial reporting is occurring and evolving linked to the advancements of our HR systems
Skill & Competencies:
* Graduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Organisational Psychology, OD Management or related fields, or a broad generalist experience in a similar role with a minimum of five years' experience.
* Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering successful Organisational Development related projects.
* Demonstration of critical thinking with the ability to translate complicated data into meaningful engagement for stakeholders.
