An exciting opportunity has arisen for a PE ECT to join a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Leeds. This is a full-time position starting in January 2026, offering an excellent induction programme, tailored mentoring, and professional development designed to help Early Career Teachers thrive. • PE ECT required to work full-time • Good mixed secondary school in Leeds • Join a successful and supportive PE department with a structured ECT induction programme The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to GCSE PE and BTEC Sport courses at Key Stage 4, and potentially to the Sixth Form Sports Science curriculum. You will be involved in delivering both practical and theoretical lessons while playing an active role in the school’s vibrant extracurricular sports programme. Department Information The PE department is dynamic, well-resourced, and central to school life. It comprises a team of passionate teachers committed to promoting health, fitness, and participation for all students. The department runs an extensive extracurricular calendar that includes football, athletics, rugby, basketball, and netball, alongside opportunities for students to participate in county and national competitions.
