About The Role:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of a skilled and compassionate team, supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a role where every day is different and every breakthrough counts.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting students in overcoming emotional and behavioural barriers to learning
* Managing and diffusing challenging behaviour with confidence and care
* Working closely with teachers to keep students engaged and on track
* Assisting with classroom organisation, displays and tailored learning resources
* Leading focused intervention sessions and small group activities
* Helping foster a safe, calm and encouraging learning space
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking someone who is:
* Passionate about making a difference
* Resilient, calm under pressure and emotionally intelligent
* Experienced in working with young people (in education, care or support roles)
* Confident in behaviour management and building rapport
* Able to drive and hold - or willing to obtain - an Enhanced DBS on the update service
