Duties
* Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation processes.
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance.
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen.
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and enhance existing offerings.
* Train new team members on cooking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen protocols.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Maintain a positive working environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
Experience
* Proven experience in a Chef role or similar position within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Previous supervisory or team management experience is essential.
* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations is required.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
* A passion for food production, creativity in menu planning, and attention to detail are vital for success in this role.
