Production Planner Pay, Hours, and Benefits
* 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:00 pm (with some flexibility)

The Production Planner role is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Sutton in Ashfield, Mansfield, and Chesterfield.
Production Planner Candidate Requirements
* Detailed understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
* Strong ownership and influencing skills to work across a wide stakeholder group.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management within manufacturing.
* Good problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in MRP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred but not essential).
* Proficient in Excel.
* Capability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Detail-oriented and tenacious with strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Review and act on MRP recommendations to release production orders to enable OTIF across the product range.
* Input into item parameter and BOM changes based on commodity knowledge, facilitating efficiency while maintaining integrity and quality.
* Work with production to plan capacity and schedule work.
* Prepare sales order data to facilitate order management.
* Manage daily orders through production.
* Communicate with sales regarding fulfillment dates when stock is unavailable.
* Resolve issues and blockages within the production process to achieve OTIF.
* Ensure all sales orders are shipped and invoiced on the dispatch day.
* Collaborate with the Production Planning Analyst to ensure forward planning and execution.
* Own and maintain documentation related to production planning, including process instructions and SOPs.
* Contribute to process improvements across the business.
