Milk Education is currently recruiting experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a range of secondary schools in Gateshead, Sunderland and South Tyneside. We are looking for confident professionals with proven classroom experience who can step in and make an immediate impact.
This role is ideal for experienced Cover Supervisors, HLTA staff, or individuals with a strong background in secondary education.
Experienced Cover Supervisor Role:
1. Supervising classes during teacher absence across KS3 and KS4
2. Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans
3. Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
4. Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
5. Providing feedback to teaching staff and senior leaders
Experienced Cover Supervisor Requirements:
6. Minimum of 6 months’ experience working in a secondary school
7. Strong behaviour management skills
8. Confident supervising whole classes independently
9. Excellent communication and organisational skills
10. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
11. Professional, reliable and adaptable approach
