We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Wythenshawe who are experts in the aviation industry who are looking for a Production Engineer
The Job
Assemble and troubleshoot new products ironing out issues ready for production.
Work closely with design to update drawings to suit manufacturing requirements.
Suggest any jigs or fixtures required to help with production.
Ensure production schedules are assessed in advance and all material requirements are created/actioned to fulfil in-house Manufacturing, Outsource, free-issue and subcontract demands.
Responsible for the analysis, planning and management of all Manufacturing orders,workloads, Bill of Materials and related documentation/databases.
Read and understand CAD drawings with a keen eye for detail and an understanding ofhow to transfer the data on drawings into BOMs onto the ERP system (Syteline / SAP).
Achieve ERP super-user status; and act as a main trainer/advisor for ManufacturingPlanning, Production and Inspection staff.
Lead the assembly team, providing direction, training, and support to ensure efficiency and quality.
To oversee procedures and conformance by Production staff in job time/progress booking: and adherence to job-track/ERP processes.
Check Syteline and paperwork to ensure all lot numbers are booked out, Shoptrak iscomplete and staff stamps are correct and completed before they are moved to the nextoperation.
About you
Proven skills, knowledge and experience in understanding CAD drawings
Knowledge of Technical assembly.
Proven track record of leading a team.
Good attention to detail and be capable of working to high quality standards/tolerances.
To be flexible towards hours of work and carry out overtime during busy periods.
To be a good team worker with good interpersonal skills to liaise closely with otherdepartments.
