The Role

As Driver / Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. From handling and dispatching goods in our warehouse to delivering orders to our customers, you'll often be the face of our company, so professionalism and great customer service are a must as is being a great member of the team.
Key Responsibilities
* Picking, packing, and dispatching orders following picking lists with high levels of accuracy and efficiency
* Safely loading and unloading goods, manually and with use of equipment as necessary
* Booking in of products/pallets on company computer system
* When required, delivering products to customers in a timely and professional manner using a company-provided vehicle
* Providing excellent service and building strong relationships with customers
* Maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the warehouse and, if necessary, with warehouse vehicles, making sure these are safe, tidy and well presented
* Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and reporting any issues or problems to the Operations Manager in a timely manner
* Following health & safety guidelines and company procedures at all times
* Completing required vehicle checks, ensuring all equipment is always used professionally and safely
* Ensuring the safe stacking and housekeeping of all warehouse locations manually
* Replenishing stock, providing efficient stock rotation
* Participating in regular stocktaking as and when required
* Ensuring the security of the building during working hours
* Assisting with loading of couriers on collection
* Carrying out any additional tasks set out by management
What We're Looking For
* A diligent and detail-oriented approach to work
* A full, clean UK driving licence
* Previous experience in a warehouse setting and delivery role
* Narrow aisle forklift licence (preferred, but not essential)
* An ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.
* An understanding of materials handling processes and warehouse management systems (preferred, but not essential).
* Physical capability to perform moderate to heavy lifting tasks as needed.
* A cheerful, positive and professional attitude with strong communication and team-working skills.
* The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic .
