Hospiscare is looking for an experienced and creative Communications Officer to join our team from December 2025 or January 2026 to January 2027.
Hours: 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £31,049 - £36,483pa, depending on experience
Location: Office-based in Exeter (EX2 5JJ), with the opportunity for hybrid working
Term: Fixed term contract for 12+ months
About the role
As the Communications Officer, you\'ll hold our press plan and media relations, hunt out stories to raise our profile and engage stakeholders, and deliver integrated communications campaigns that support the hospice. This is a creative and wide-ranging role, working in a small and friendly marketing and communications team for a respected local charity.
About you
You’ll work closely with colleagues, fundraisers, our patients and those close to them. As well as being able to spot and tell a story, you’ll have strong experience in writing for a range of audiences, brand communications, PR/media relations, and campaign planning.
