Neil Brown Engineering are currently looking to recruit an experienced CNC milling setter and operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting and operating a range of CNC machinery at our site in Spalding. We are looking for someone with experience of machining components to tight tolerances who has good attention to detail.
Competitive salary negotiable dependent on experience with overtime paid at time and half.
8.00am Dayshift Monday to Friday
The Role:
· Setting and operating a range of CNC machines including: 3,4 and 5 axis milling machines with Heidenhain and Fanuc controls.
· Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
· Use a range of measuring equipment to quality check parts produced to tight tolerances
· Machining a variety of materials
· Make alterations to programs as needed
· Tool Setting
· Making jigs and fixtures
· Using manual lathes and mills as required
· Ensuring all job times and materials recorded accurately
· Maintain good housekeeping and working in a clean and tidy manner
The Candidate:
· Must be apprentice trained with at least NVQ level 3, City and Guilds or equivalent qualification
· Must have at least 5 years milling experience working in similar industry
· Candidates with 5 axis, 4 axis and horizontal milling experience are preferred
· Must be able to work efficiently and keep to deadlines
· Have willingness to contribute new ideas towards improvements
· Heidenhain programming experience preferred but not essential
· Hypermill CAM experience preferred but not essential
· CMM inspection experience preferred but not essential
· Candidate must be willing to work overtime when required

Pay: £16.00-£18.00 per hour
