Recruit4staff are representing an established engineering business in their search for a Pipefitter to work in Stalybridge
Job Details
* Pay: £23.25 per hour (CIS)
* Overtime available at £27.90 / £32.55 depending on project
* Hours of Work: 07:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
* Duration: Temporary (Trial 3 weeks – leading to semi-permanent for the right candidate)
* Benefits: Free parking on-site
Job Role: Working with an existing small team of fitters, pipefitters, and welders on a chemical production site, you will carry out project work and maintenance tasks. Duties include site measuring of pipework, calculating and cutting lengths, prepping and setting up pipework for welding, as well as bolting pipe spools, valves, and pumps. Fabrication and installation of screwed pipework and working from technical drawings are essential parts of the role.
Essential Skills, Experience, Or Qualifications
* Fabrication and installation of screwed pipework
* Measuring, cutting, and prepping pipework
* Site installation and maintenance experience
* C&G/NVQ in Pipefitting/Fabrication or equivalent
* CCNSG/SCATS or equivalent site safety ticket
Advantageous Skills, Experience, Or Qualifications
* Tacking up pipework
* Welding of pipework
Additional Information
* Overtime – project/job dependant and regular shutdowns
* Free parking on-site
