Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:00am–4:30pm, Friday 8:00am–3:30pm
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business in Sheffield. This role would suit someone with a background in manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive industries and previous experience in a commercial or technical customer-facing position.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer relationships, supporting technical projects, and ensuring commercial success across a varied client base.
Provide technical and commercial support to customers, offering expert product and process knowledge.
Manage existing customer accounts and build strong, proactive relationships.
Participate in customer-specific technical and development projects, supporting new product and process introductions.
Process customer orders, maintaining accurate records across WIP, management spreadsheets, and quality systems.
Collaborate closely with design, process, quality, and production teams.
Coordinate internal and external meetings (virtual and in-person) to support customer discussions, project updates, and commercial reviews.
Liaise with subcontractors and manage supplier processes to support operational needs.
Maintain accurate CRM data and ensure all customer interactions are recorded.
Proven experience in a commercial, technical, or customer account management role within manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive sectors.
Organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
A proactive approach with a strong focus on customer service and commercial results.
