We are working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in the BS25 area to recruit confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support their teaching staff absences on an ongoing, ad hoc basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with an interest in working with young people who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment. You do not need to have classroom experience, but must be willing to learn, be outgoing and confident, and be easy-going and flexible. You can work 2 to 5 days per week, and choose your days.
The ideal applicant will be able to drive, so that when you are not booked in BS25, you can work in our other Secondary Schools.
The Role:
* Guide pupils through pre-set tasks across subjects (this is not a teaching role, but a behaviour management role, so no teaching input is required)
* Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
* Work flexibly, typically 2–4 days per week (pre-booked and ad hoc)
* No planning or marking required
The School:
This is a successful and welcoming BS25 secondary school with a strong reputation in the local area. The school has been recognised by Ofsted for its broad and ambitious curriculum and high expectations of students, alongside a calm and positive learning environment. Staff are supported by strong leadership, and behaviour across the school is consistently well-managed, allowing lessons to run smoothly.
With a culture built around inclusivity, respect, and high standards, this is a school where both staff and students thrive.
What We’re Looking For:
* Confident individuals who can lead a classroom
* Experience working with young people is ideal (coaching, tutoring, mentoring, youth work etc.)
* Strong communication and presence
* Interest in education or future teaching careers is a bonus
What You’ll Get:
* £100–£115 per day (depending on experience and availability)
* Flexible working to suit your schedule
* Consistent work within one school
* Valuable experience in a high-performing Humanities department
If you’re looking for flexible, rewarding work in a supportive secondary school, we’d love to hear from you.
