We are an award winning service caring for children in the Bradford district ensuring acute admissions to hospital are avoided where it is safe to do so. Following set pathways you will ensure that sick children remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, and in the care of their relatives/carers with clinical oversight and expertise from the ACE team. Advert The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload and will providing specialised nursing care and advice. The service aims to reduce hospital admissions to the Paediatric wards at Bradford Royal Infirmary by providing an excellent level of support to families. This will benefit the Children of the Bradford district and ensure safe capacity is maintained on the Paediatric Wards. The candidate will participate in the expansion and development of the service in line with the new NHS 10 year plan. Detailed job description and main responsibilities To come and join our team you will need to have good clinical assessment skills with a track record of being able to formulate safe plans of care. You will need to have an evidence based knowledge and understanding of a variety of paediatric conditions in addition to above average communication skills. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously, whilst reporting back to the Team leader and on call consultants. In order to be part of this exciting and dynamic team the successful candidate will have a positive attitude and be keen to take on new challenges. A current full UK / EU driving licence is essential in addition to access to a vehicle to carry out duties. Shifts are 11.5 hours and includes weekends and bank holidays.
