Overview
A Receptionist is an administrative assistant who works in a hospital department. They will be responsible for creating and updating patient files when they receive care. Ensure concise, clear and accurate documentation is maintained at all times including updating NHS systems. They will also be the first point of call for patients entering the unit and ensure a friendly working environment is maintained. You will also be responsible for answering the telephone to relatives and other departments in the trust.
Responsibilities
* Post Holder will be working Monday - Friday only 12:00 - 18:00
* Join a friendly team as a part-time Receptionist working within a busy Haemodialysis Unit.
* Deliver the day to day service needs of the busy unit and provide a high standard of patient service and record keeping.
* Be pro-active, competent, caring and compassionate, with excellent communication skills.
* Work in a pressured environment, thrive on challenges and exceed expectations on a daily basis.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good documentation skills.
* Good computer skills and use of computer programs.
* Excellent telephone manner.
* Flexibility and adaptability.
* Work within a MDT environment.
* Supporting line managers by identifying any concerns raised by relatives or health professionals.
