Overview
Administration Assistant - Contraception and Sexual Health, Chester. Part-time (14.5 hours per week), fixed term for 12 months. Working with a multi-disciplinary team to assist the administration team with daily tasks, IT and workload management, receptionist duties, and support across locations within Cheshire West and Chester.
Responsibilities
* Undertake reception duties, including updating patients’ personal details and organizing follow-up appointments or adding patients to an outpatient waiting list following a standard operational procedure.
* Create, update and amend patient case notes, ensuring patient demographics are accurate.
* Handle telephone enquiries in a polite and courteous manner.
* Support with negative results and patient communication.
* Undertake photocopying, facsimiles, email, memo requests and basic ad-hoc copy typing if required.
* Maintain a filing system for hard copy records and ensure electronic records are maintained in line with local policy and guidelines.
* Sort and distribute incoming mail and take action where required.
* Work across multiple locations within Cheshire West and Chester, including Chester, Ellesmere Port, Northwich, Winsford, Neston and Blacon.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Has a full driving licence and access to a car
* Recent experience in an administrative or customer service role
* Familiar with IT systems
* Experience in NHS / healthcare (desirable)
