Overview
Our client is looking for an experienced Workshop Engineer to join the team at their Hemel Hempstead depot. The role will be responsible in providing support to a range of machinery at the respective depot with a primary focus on keeping the machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate, diagnose and resolve customer reports of technical problems with equipment.
* Keep machinery in peak operating condition through scheduled maintenance, repairs and inspections.
* Complete jobs to a high standard promptly and within a given timeframe.
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external customers.
* Work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems.
* Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards.
* Supervise other Workshop Engineers, when required, to ensure high quality of work and safe working procedures are maintained.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* NVQ level 2 or 3 or equivalent in Plant/Land Base Mechanical Engineering • OR 3 years of relevant experience within Plant/Land based mechanics.
* Ability to service a wide range of heavy tracked plant machines.
* Investigate & diagnose technical problems.
* Interpersonal relationships / Customer awareness / Commercial awareness.
* Efficient and flexible with the ability to work without supervision.
