The Role:
Buying is the department that brings together creative inspiration & commercial planning to deliver the best ranges for our customer. Product is at the heart of everything we do, from developing the best prints for dresses, the must-have coat of the season, or the ‘It’ bag. What you’ll be doing:
Planning
* Understanding strategy at Group and Department level
* Aligning with Brand Vision
* Managing daily and weekly tasks according to Ways Of Working (WOW)
* Preparing for Departmental Meetings
* Supporting the Buying team with data entry into planning tools
Buying
* Following the Critical Path to meet deadlines
* Handling issues with orders internally and externally
* Finding solutions proactively
* Coordinating barcode processes
* Maintaining purchase orders in the relevant system
* Assisting with supplier slippage management
* Processing order amendments under guidance from the B&M team
* Supporting weekly team updates to ensure commitment
Sample Management
* Labeling, logging, organizing, and filing samples
* Preparing samples for meetings
* Maintaining the department's range and samples
* Driving the press sample process to maximize departmental offer
* Ensuring production samples arrive in time for online pre-shoots
* Maintaining up-to-date sample imagery
* Preparing samples for 3PE partner meetings
Trading
* Understanding trade reports and decisions
* Having insight into the New Look customer
* Familiarity with Customer Insight and Market Share
* Contributing to trend and competitor analysis with recommendations
* Staying updated on competitors’ product ranges
* Completing and reporting store visits and competitor shop analyses
Who you are:
Technical Knowledge & Experience
* Understanding fashion trends and high street knowledge
* Accuracy in work
* Passion for Product
* Experience in Fashion/Retail or as a Buying Admin Assistant
