We are seeking a Process Engineer to join our Engineering team at our Perrin & Rowe site in Wolverhampton.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing, improving, and optimising manufacturing processes to drive efficiency, quality, and safety across our operations. Using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, you'll lead continuous improvement projects, support new product introductions, and create robust process documentation and work instructions.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll identify and implement solutions that reduce cycle times, enhance plant layouts, and ensure full compliance with quality standards.

What You'll Be Doing

* Develop and document manufacturing methods and processes.
* Analyse and improve processes using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
* Maintain, update, and issue manufacturing documentation.
* Conduct time studies and use Lean tools to reduce set-up times in Machine Shop and Assembly.
* Work with Quality to develop and implement quality control plans for critical features and ensure proper inspection levels.
* Design, implement, and train operatives on assembly work instructions (method sheets).
* Anticipate and mitigate potential process and quality issues.
* Conduct random quality audits to ensure compliance with drawings.
* Request and implement engineering and process routing changes.
* Own, develop, and optimise plant floor layouts, including standardised floor-marking across the plant.
* Improve existing processes to reduce cycle times.
* Collaborate with Toolroom to design/create fixtures and tooling as needed.
* Support capacity and volume changes by monitoring and adjusting line designs.
* Use industrial engineering tools to quantify labour and establish headcount templates.
* Coordinate and lead local Lean activities, including A3 investigations and root cause analysis (3C).
* Act as the site's ergonomics resource.
* Communicate effectively at all levels and actively participate in continuous improvement, quality, and production meetings.
* Manage projects aligned with the plant's strategic direction.
* Assist in evaluating Design for Assembly (DFA) initiatives.

What You'll Already Have

* Mechanical Engineering background with Lean Green/Black Belt certification.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in high-volume assembly and packaging, with exposure to:
* New product introductions
* Process improvement and error proofing
* Tool and fixture design
* Machine and process control
* Product costing and routings
* Project management
* Cellular manufacturing
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* CAD experience.
