Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and confident Learning Support Assistant to join a small, high‑needs SEN provision within a welcoming mainstream primary school in the Salford (M6) area. This is a full‑time role starting immediately, covering a maternity leave until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue into the next academic year.
About the Provision
The school has a dedicated, well‑structured SEN base that supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including complex learning needs, communication difficulties and social–emotional needs. The provision offers a nurturing, highly supportive environment, with a small staff team who work collaboratively to ensure pupils receive personalised, consistent support throughout the school day.
Confidence, resilience and strong SEN experience are essential, as the pupils require high levels of support, clear boundaries and a patient, understanding approach. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo, class teachers and wider support team to deliver tailored interventions, assist with individual targets and promote positive engagement in learning.
Your Role Will Involve:
* Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small‑group basis
* Assisting with personalised learning plans and EHCP targets
* Helping pupils manage routines, transitions and emotional regulation
* Working collaboratively with staff to maintain a structured, safe environment
* Contributing to daily records, observations and progress updates
