Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 per year Requirements: We are looking for candidates who have over 5 years of experience as a Senior or Lead Cloud or Platform Engineer. You should possess hands-on expertise with Azure and Google Cloud Platform, as well as a strong background in Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform and ARM Templates. A proven track record with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) is essential, along with skills in scripting and automation (using languages like Python, Shell, Perl, or similar). Additionally, you should have knowledge of data center operations, networking, IT security, and observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as agile delivery experience, are also important for this role. Responsibilities: As our Lead Platform Engineer, I will expect you to design and implement cloud platforms across Azure and GCP, and build and optimize internal platforms to support our development teams. You will be responsible for automating provisioning, scaling, and configuration management. Additionally, you will lead migration and modernization projects from inception to delivery, drive best practices in cloud architecture, DevOps, and automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on greenfield solutions. You will also lead incident response and root-cause analysis with a focus on preventative action, mentor other engineers, and act as a trusted technical authority. Lastly, ensuring cost efficiency, security, and performance across our platforms will be a key part of your role.
