Job Description:
We are seeking reliable and safety-conscious Class 2 Rigid Drivers to operate our fleet of rigid trucks. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various destinations in a safe, timely, and professional manner. You will play a key part in ensuring that our customers receive their deliveries in the best possible condition and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely drive and operate a Class 2 Rigid vehicle.
* Make deliveries to various locations, following pre-planned routes.
* Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and perform daily checks.
* Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
* Adhere to all road safety and transport regulations.
* Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients and customers.
* Report any accidents, vehicle defects, or issues promptly.
Essential Requirements:
* A valid Class 2 Rigid driving license (C).
* CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
* Previous experience as a Class 2 Rigid Driver preferred.
* A good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
* A flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
Desirable:
* Experience with multi-drop deliveries.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and basic repairs.
