The Wholesale Sales function collaborates with major customers across the UK and beyond, providing them with innovative, best-in-class technology to empower their services. The Planning and Strategy Manager role is diverse, involving significant senior stakeholder engagement and management. This role is responsible for Strategy and Planning activities within Wholesale, including designing and leading implementation of commercial initiatives and contributing to the development of the Medium Term Plan (MTP). A deep understanding of the key enablers and dependencies of the commercial and operational plans is essential, along with the ability to work effectively in virtual teams to drive initiatives forward. Additionally, the Manager will contribute to Wholesale strategy, support strategic requests from the Business Leadership Team (BLT), and perform commercial analysis for monthly reviews and quarterly budgets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Own the preparation, consolidation, and facilitation of Wholesale monthly Business Unit Review (BUR), MTP, and governance forums, ensuring all actions are tracked.
2. Prepare responses to strategic queries from Business leadership based on market analysis and customer insights.
3. Ensure planning activities are aligned with trading activities to maximize opportunities and address financial gaps promptly.
4. Manage the reporting of Wholesale strategic KPIs to track sector achievements.
5. Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders, highlighting commercial impacts.
