Willow & Riverstone CIC
is a regenerative micro-estate and wellbeing enterprise based at a 12-acre heritage site in Oxfordshire.
We combine heritage restoration, environmental regeneration, mental health retreats, and digital storytelling to create a living system of care, creativity, and carbon repair.
Our mission is to make
eco-conscious, land-connected living
accessible, beautiful, and practical for real people with real lives.
With support from the National Lottery Heritage Fund, we are now expanding our governance as part of our long-term impact and sustainability model.
We are looking for: Wellbeing and eco-conscious individuals, looking for an opportunity to share knowledge and lean into the green space. Looking to have a positive impact and make the world a better place
1. Non-Executive Director (Heritage / Culture)
An experienced voice in any of the following:
* Historic site conservation
* Rural architecture or heritage craft
* Cultural or ecological storytelling
* Museum, archive, or local history work
Desirable
: knowledge of NLHF, local planning, or landscape history
2. Non-Executive Director (Finance / Legal)
A thoughtful, ethical guide with experience in:
* CIC, charity or SME finance
* Impact investment or philanthropic funding
* Governance and light-touch risk management
* Oversight of annual reporting
Desirable
: experience in social enterprise, ESG, or regenerative finance models
What You'll Do
* Join a values-led team (quarterly meetings only)
* Provide light-touch strategic input (1–3 hrs/quarterly avg)
* Support good governance during our NLHF grant period
* Contribute to a
movement-led project
combining land, story, and care
* Optional: equity in our future holding company or land-based returns structure

* Relevant industry experience is a plus
* Advanced degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
