Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a School Admissions Administrator to join Wrexham Council on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain accurate records within the Capita ONE Admissions and Transfers system, ensuring data is validated and securely handled.

Support parents and guardians with school admissions enquiries, including assisting with online applications.
*
Verify pupil information submitted in applications and investigate any potential discrepancies.
*
Process mid-year school transfer applications in accordance with the School Admissions Code.
*
Provide advice to parents regarding admissions decisions and the appeals process.
*
Assist with the production and distribution of the Parents’ Guide to Education Services and admissions publicity materials.
*
Represent the Local Authority at school open evenings and events to promote the admissions service and online application process.
*
Provide guidance and support to schools, governing bodies, and other stakeholders on admissions procedures.

Strong administrative and data management skills with high attention to detail.
*
Experience using databases or case management systems.
*
Excellent communication and customer service skills, particularly when supporting parents and families.
