Setting Out Engineer – Substation Project (Newton Stewart)
Location: Newton Stewart, South West Scotland
Duration: Approx. 20 weeks (Starting mid-August)
Rate: £300-£320 per day
Working Arrangement: Potential requirement for staying away from home therefore may cover accommodation costs.
We’re working on an exciting new project with our large civil engineering client involving an extension to the existing Newton Stewart Substation. As part of this, we’re looking to appoint a freelance Setting Out Engineer with relevant substation experience.
Key Requirements:
Proven experience working on substation projects
Valid CSCS card is essential and 5-day SMSTS is desirable
Trimble instrument experience essential
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Familiarity with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
Scottish Power authorisation preferred but not essential
This project is based in Newton Stewart (approx. 2 hours from Glasgow), so some staying away may be required depending on your location.
