Job Description
We are looking for exceptional, enthusiastic, and creative child-focused individuals to work within our Children Homes, supporting young people with complex and additional needs.
The ideal candidates must be able to extend these skills to the young people's families, carers, and professionals.
The Residential Homes care for children looked after by the local authority, including a short break centre for children with disabilities. This post is within our homes for looked after children.
The primary aim as a Residential Child Care Worker is to act as a corporate parent for Children Looked After and be an advocate for Children in Need, adhering to the Guide to the Children’s Homes Regulations and quality standards.
You will ensure that young people are nurtured, happy, healthy, and safe from harm, enabling them to develop, thrive, and reach their full potential.
Applicants should have experience working with children and young people in residential or related settings and hold the NVQ Level 3 Residential Child Care, NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People, or a suitable equivalent qualification.
This role involves shift work, sleepovers, working on bank holidays, and weekends.
The successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
