Location: Stockton-on-Tees, Durham International Study Centre
Salary: £(phone number removed) per annum
To teach a broad range of Mathematics modules at both International Foundation Year and Pre-masters level, across the three different programmes of study at the centre. (Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance, Humanities, Law and Social sciences, and Science and Engineering)
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Planning and preparing lessons in line with departmental expectations, using appropriate teaching methods and resources.
* Assisting in the development of modules from existing module specifications.
* Preparing module examinations and other forms of formative assessment, marking and providing feedback to students
* To act as a module coordinator for a specific maths module
* Assisting with the development and maintenance of the virtual learning environment (VLE).
* Providing input for related modules to the annual review and reporting process.
* Reviewing your own professional development and identifying any training needs.
* Maintaining an accurate and up-to-date record of student attendance and performance.
* Providing, when/if required, academic learning support to a small number of students.
* Participating in regular meetings with both teaching and support staff.
* Supporting various student engagement activities around the ISC.
* Attending lectures given by Durham University to support student progression.
ABOUT YOU
* A Master’s degree or equivalent in a related subject area. (essential)
* Fluent spoken and written English. (essential)
* A recognised teaching qualification. (desirable)
* Teaching experience, delivering Mathematics programmes within a Further Education or Higher Education context. (essential)
* Experience of working with international students online and face to face. (desirable)
