The role is busy and varied and would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team and with young people. Are you great at finding solutions? And mixing them too? This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a real passion for Science and Technology to support our students' learning experiences within Langley school. Working closely with the Lead Technician, you will ensure equipment and resources are prepared and in good working order to facilitate effective lessons across the Science and Technology faculties. You will be joining our ambitious and collaborative team with a strong commitment to providing high quality learning opportunities. Both out Science and Technology faculties consist of a varied team of teachers and support staff ranging in experience and specialisms. The successful candidate will receive full training and support to enable them to have a positive impact in their role which involves liaising with teachers and support staff; preparing for practical lessons and overseeing the maintenance of resources and equipment. We were visited by Ofsted in March 2023 and were graded Good. We are very proud of our inclusive, welcoming school where pupils behave and learn in a calm and purposeful environment. Our school’s fundamental principles focus on supporting, challenging and inspiring the whole Langley community ‘to be the best that we can be’. But these are not simply words on paper. Students, staff and governors genuinely give all they can, to bring those principles to life every day. Examinations are critically important, of course, and our students achieve superbly well in them, but we truly believe in developing young people to deal with the tests of their lifetime, not merely to endure a lifetime of tests. Everyone who visits us comments on the unique ethos of our school as well as our commitment to inclusivity.
