We have positions available in and around Sherborne providing care and support for an adult with Autism and Complex Care needs in a community setting on a 1:1 basis. Because this role involves going out and about in the community, applicants must have a full UK driving license and have access to own vehicle. The shift pattern is a mixture of 1600-2200 or 0300–2100, with some weekends included, working 0800-1600 or 0700-1500. We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and creative people with a good sense of humour to support a client who is friendly and active. No two days are the same, where there are all sorts of fun activities and outings happening all the time - helping achieve key goals and aspirations such as swimming, cycling and running, baking or arts and crafts! Applicants will need to have experience of working of supporting people with Autism and understand that Clients sometimes communicate through behaviours, so demonstrating proactive and positive approaches is essential.
