We havea part-time (22.5 hrs / 3 days) role avaliable.Advertising End Date: 22 May 2026About the ProgrammeOur Supported Internships combine high-quality teaching with real-life work experience, helping young people build confidence, independence and lasting employability skills.As a Tutor, you will:Teach Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2 .Deliver creative lessons in employability and workplace skills .Support learners both in the classroom and in their work placements.Help young people move into paid, sustainable employment .This is more than a teaching role, this is your opportunity to make a genuine, lasting difference.What you will bring to the Tutor role at Mencap:Experience supporting SEND learners in a teaching or training environment.Experience delivering and assessing Functional Skills English & Maths.Strong planning, organisation and classroom management abilities.Minimum Level 3 Award in Education (or equivalent), with willingness to progress to Level 5.GCSE English and Maths (AC / 94 or equivalent).A commitment to inclusive practice, person-centred support, equality and safeguarding.Our Commitment to Safeguarding & Safer RecruitmentAt Mencap, safeguarding is central to everything we do.
