Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member for Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, before employment can be offered by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
We have two temporary part-time teaching posts at Dalmellington Primary School: one at 0.8FTE and another at 0.6FTE, until 26 June 2025. The hours are 28 and 21 per week, respectively, to be scheduled by the line manager. The full-time salary ranges from £40,305 to £50,589 annually; the part-time salaries are proportionally adjusted to £32,244 - £40,471 for 0.8FTE and £24,183 - £30,353 for 0.6FTE.
