About the role
Youll be a vital part of a professional, friendly and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager, Julie. Our focus at all times is on ensuring patient safety and that they receive the highest standard of care. Youll be responsible for ensuring the continual cleanliness of the theatre and equipment. You will be competent in all aspects of scrub/circulating technique and procedures. Finally, you will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase.

Main duties of the job
A Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:
1. knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team will be key in this role
2. are fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practise
3. have a sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department

*Please note this is a bank role and therefore has no fixed hours per month, it is adhoc cover for sickness and leave on Saturdays only.

*This bonus is offered to those who commence substantive employment in the role of Scrub Nurse/Practitioner at Emerson's Green.
The bonus is paid in two parts, the first part of the bonus is paid after the first month of employment and the second part after 6 months of employment conditional on successful completion of a probation period. The total bonus is pro-rata for part time joiners.
