Directorate
We offer an exciting opportunity for a professional with experience and interest in working with researchers to lead on a cultural change at the University. As Research Culture Officer, you will join our Research Culture team in devising and delivering the University’s actions that align with the Researcher Development Concordat. You will also be heavily involved in supporting the work of the newly established Doctoral College and Research Institutes in delivering on their strategic priorities in the context of PGR and staff experience and research culture more broadly.
What you will be doing:
• fostering high-quality relationships with our researchers (postgraduate, early-stage and more established colleagues), research supervisors, and research managers/leaders to identify needs of this community;
• identifying areas of strength and in need for improvement in research culture, devising actions (programmes and events) to address those, and implementing the actions;
• maintaining relations with our external networks and partnerships to foster positive staff experience and update our research community of upcoming opportunities as well as recent developments in the sector.
Qualifications/ experience:
• A degree in a discipline related to one of the university's research areas (or equivalent experience).
• Understanding the postgraduate research landscape or research landscape more broadly.
• Experience of carrying out initiatives that led to a positive organisational change or change in research culture.
