Job role: Groundworker (Social Housing)Location: Hastings (Covering Hastings, Bexhill, Pevensey Bay, Penhurst, Battle, Brede and Rye)Salary: £38,000 per annum + Company Van & Fuel CardPermanent PositionWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Groundworker to join a well-established social housing contractor covering the Hastings area.This is a permanent opportunity for a skilled Groundworker with experience carrying out repairs and maintenance within occupied and void social housing properties. Due to the location of the works, candidates must live within approximately 10-15 miles of Hastings town centre.The role offers a varied workload across reactive and planned maintenance, undertaking a range of external repairs and groundworks to residential properties and communal areas.Key Responsibilities:Carrying out a variety of groundworks and external repairsFencing repairs and replacementsPaving, slab laying and pathway repairsConcrete repairs and reinstatement worksDrainage repairs and maintenanceBrickwork and minor masonry repairsWorking on both occupied and void social housing propertiesAccurately updating jobs and completing reports using a PDA systemEnsuring all work is completed safely and to a high standardRequirements:Proven experience as a Groundworker within the social housing, maintenance or construction sectorExperience working in occupied and void propertiesStrong knowledge of fencing, paving, drainage and general external maintenance worksPrevious experience using a PDA or handheld device to manage workloadsFull UK Driving LicenceMust live within 10-15 miles of Hastings town centre due to the location of the worksIn return, you'll be joining a reputable contractor that offers long-term stability, a supportive working environment and the opportunity to work as part of an established maintenance team.Package:£38,000 per annumCompany Van & Fuel CardPermanent, full-time position40-hour working weekFor more information or to apply, please contact Sommer on 07502 427533 .TPBN1_UKTJ
