1. Introduction:
The Senior Technical Project Manager role is a senior role within the Project Management team at 21CC Group, focused on technical design, tendering, specification and structured planning across a wide range of projects, cover small corporate work through to large-scale major outdoor and multi‑venue events.
The role is primarily office based (approx. 70%), with site involvement (approx. 30%) for surveys, planning, and to oversee on site build and key project delivery stages. This is primarily a front‑end creative technical design, project planning and commercial management role.

3. Role Overview:
As Senior Technical Project Manager you will be responsible for the technical development of projects from initial brief through to structured handover into production and delivery. You will lead on technical design, quoting, specification and planning across a wide range of work. You will translate creative ideas and client requirements into practical, deliverable and commercially sound technical solutions.
You will work closely with the Project Director, Production Director and wider team to ensure projects are correctly scoped, costed and documented before going into operations and delivery.

5. Key Responsibilities:
Technical Quoting & Commercial Accuracy
· Lead technical input into project quotes and tenders.
· Develop accurate scopes of work aligned to brief, budget and programme.
· Ensure all equipment, labour, logistics and specialist requirements are properly captured at quoting stage.
· Identify risks early and ensure they are reflected in pricing and planning.
· Protect margin through disciplined and realistic technical scoping.
Technical Design & Specification
· Produce clear and deliverable technical designs across lighting, staging, structures, power, video and infrastructure as required.
· Prepare CAD drawings, layouts, system designs, visualisations, equipment schedules and build plans.
· Ensure all documentation is structured, accurate and issue controlled.
· Maintain consistent technical standards across projects.
Planning & Project Development
· Develop technical plans and programmes aligned with project timelines.
· Identify long‑lead items, specialist requirements and resource implications early.
· Work closely with Operations and Production teams to ensure designs are achievable.
· Provide clear technical handover into delivery teams once projects are approved.
Client & Stakeholder Interface
· Act as senior technical point of contact during design and planning stages.
· Attend client meetings, briefings and technical reviews.
· Carry out site surveys and feasibility assessments.
· Present practical and deliverable technical solutions.
Site Involvement (Approx. 30%)
· Attend site visits and surveys.
· Support initial build phases and key milestones on site
· Lead on-site technical teams on major and complex projects where required
· Ensure design intent and technical standards are delivered correctly on site.
· Act as senior technical point of contact with clients and stakeholders on major builds.
· Attend project debriefs to improve future planning and efficiency.
6. Your Skills & Expertise:
You will have significant experience in technical production and technical project management within live events.
· Strong knowledge across lighting, staging, structures, power and AV systems.
· Proven experience in quoting and technical design.
· Strong CAD and visualisation capability.
· Commercial awareness and understanding of margin control.
· Clear communicator with confident client‑facing manner.
· Full UK driving licence.

The ideal candidate will be commercially aware and technically strong, structured and detail-driven in their approach, calm and confident with clients, and able to translate creative ideas into practical delivery while understanding the importance of getting scope, cost and planning right before a project reaches site.
8. About the Role:
· This is a permanent, full-time position with 21CC Productions
· You should be comfortable working across offices, venues and on-site environments.
· Weekend and evening work will be required during events.
· A valid UK Driving license and car are required.

10. Salary:
· £36,000 to £45, depending on experience and seniority.
· Based on a full‑time, 40‑hour working week.
